| It appears as though my capacity for putting things off is catching up to me. I'd like to thank God for giving us weekends to catch up. | | |

| | Currently Watching Hollywoodland (Widescreen Edition) By Adrien Brody, Diane Lane, Ben Affleck, Bob Hoskins, Lois Smith, Robin Tunney, Larry Cedar, Jeffrey DeMunn, Brad William Henke, Dash Mihok, Molly Parker, Caroline Dhavernas, Kathleen Robertson, Joe Spano, Gareth Williams, Zach Mills, Ted Atherton, David J. MacNeil, Eric Kaldor, Kevin Hare see related | I don't know how interested my public is in ancient religion, but I find some of them very intriguing. I used to be very interested in Roman/Greek mythology, Hinduism, and Islam. One of my friends introduced me to "Mystery Religions" which were kinda like secret societies we have in our culture today (Freemasons, KKK (not necessarily this extreme) and the like). One mystery religion that has really caught my intrest is Mithraism. I haven't learned quite enough to talk about it yet, but as far as I can see it was very prominent Roman culture about the time that Christianity started to become accepted. This is definitely not saying I'm swaying my belief in Christ. I just like to see what others believe to be true.

| Things I wonder:
-I couldn't pronounce half of my classes last semester but I know what they all meant, and what the subject matter was from just the class title. This semester I can pronounce them all just fine, but the titles are much more...vague. (Dynamic Systems and Controls, Systems 1, Tools of Management and Quality, Experimental Mechanics, Machine Design)
-Too many of my friends are getting married. The marriage bombs are starting to hit close to home too. Close enough to where I might get hit with groomsman shrapnel.
-Why is Star Trek so compelling to me?
-Star Trek is the future (that's not something I wonder, just something I accept as truth).
-Why do I have no trouble comitting myself to things, but lots of trouble with the follow through?
-Why is breaking up so hard to do? (This one's not about me)
-Why is Oklahoma's weather so bipolar?
-How can chocolate stay gooey in chocolate chip cookies long after they've reached room temperature? AMAZING!

| So, Oklahoma is currently right in the middle of a fist fight with a really big dude name "Damaging Icing" and an equally big dude who has less of a presence but is still very scary named "Snow, Sleet, Ice." According to this chart, Oklahoma is losing by a margin the size of Uranus. And Uranus is pretty big.
Uranus jokes aside, Oklahoma is covered in a nice thick sheet of ice.
I watched Children of Men tonight. It was a good one. The ending was a little...
Yeah, that's about how it ended actually. I enjoyed the way the story A LOT. The subject matter really struck a cord with me. The production values were also very high. Scinematography was standard, nothing really spectacular, but it wasn't bad enough to take away from the movie. Acting was top notch. There wasn't a single moment were I realized I was watching a movie. This was another solid affirmation of my belief that Clive Owen is one of the greatest actors of our time. It's based on a book too. I think it's one I'm going to have to read.
Well, besides the usual doubts about where I'm going in life and the other nagging questions I keep pusing to the back of my mind (like why are all my friends getting married all of a sudden? I'm losing 2/3 of my ex roomates to marriage this year), nothing is new.
Guess that's it...
